Scandanavian inspired homes

28 Jun

I’ve been working on a project recently with a company who makes furniture made predominantly with beech plywood, and I was inspired!

Rooms with stacks of light streaming in, white crisp walls, light wood furniture and natural fabrics are very calm and inspiring and can be tweaked with different accessories as you get bored.

Here’s some inspiration….

Above: One of my favourite chairs, especially this design in the rocking chair version.  They come in different colours so you can be really creative.

Above:  I’ve seen this once type of coffee table before and am inspired to try to make it myself for my own home one day.

Above:  This room feels like you’re outside.  I love the light bulbs without lampshades-very raw.

Above: It’s awesome how this conservatory brings the outside in.

Above: This is at {Field Office} in Cape Town.  Such great furniture.  I just love the bucket stools!

Above:  The use of texture in these two rooms in incredible.   Very little colour is used, but yet it looks so interesting and calming.

Above: This home has great pieces of furniture and the materials used compliment the look and feel nicely.

Above: Yet again I’m including pictures of my favourite chairs! The lighting, flooring and beautiful solid table compliment each other really well.  I love the pot plants on the floor at the far end of the room.
